TIPS FOR BABY CLOTHING

  • Get ready to be showered with clothing gifts from your amazing circle of friends and family – it’s like a fashion party just for your little one!
  • Now, when it comes to your baby’s wardrobe, it’s smart to start with just a few pieces, especially in newborn size. Why, you ask? Well, here’s the scoop: Babies have their own agenda when it comes to size, and it’s all a big surprise until they make their grand entrance. Plus, they can do this super-speedy growing thing that turns those cute, tiny outfits into instant snug fits.

So, here’s the shopping strategy: Begin with a small stash and add more as your little bundle of joy makes their debut. It’s all about keeping it flexible, just like your baby’s schedule.

  • Now guess what? Thrifting for baby clothes can be an absolute blast! You’ll uncover hidden treasures that are not only cute but also super budget-friendly. It’s a win-win situation.

Now imagine your day to day routine for those first precious weeks. SPOILER ALERT: It might involve a lot of indoor adventures but who knows. Consider planning clothing around what is functional for you and baby.

Gendered or gender neutral clothes is something to think about. Personally I like a mix of both, I like the idea of passing down gender neutral clothes to future babies but I also like the personality of gendered clothing.

Not too many newborn clothes. Some babies outgrow the newborn stage very quickly and if you need more, you can always buy.

These cozy options are perfect for those chilly doctor’s appointments or when you’re planning a little winter adventure outdoors with your baby.

Many parents find it convenient to keep their little ones warm by using blankets while they’re in the car seat, rather than dressing them in heavy outerwear. This way, you can easily remove the extra layers when you’re in the car, preventing overheating and ensuring a comfortable ride for your precious passenger.

This onesie is perfect for layering up during the chilly months! Whether you prefer short sleeves or long sleeves depends on how cozy you want your baby to be. And the best part? It’s versatile enough to wear on its own too with pants.

I absolutely love this one-piece for your baby’s first few months, especially since you’ll be indoors mostly. It has footies, so no need to fuss with socks. Some even have foldable cuffs to keep baby’s arms warm. Plus, the handy zipper design makes nighttime changes a breeze, especially with inverted zippers that let you change from the bottom without removing the whole outfit.

Feel free to keep your precious newborn snug and cozy even in the sunnier seasons! Here are some adorable snapshots of how I like to dress my little one during those warmer months.
